So what do you do on Friday nights? Are you tired of doing the "same old same old" - going to dinner, watching a movie, etc.? What about using your Friday night to change the world?
We're not kidding! The BREATHE Respite Team at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church would love to have you join us as we throw a great party for families of children/adults with special needs. We do this about once a month and are always looking for volunteers to help us make BREATHE an unforgettable experience for the kids & their families. Parents can take a break while we have fun with the kids.
There are all sorts of serving roles to get connected to:
Activity Team: If you enjoy engaging with kiddos for fun activities then this is the slot for you. We need folks to man our activities room for board games, crafts, etc. You will be assigned with another volunteer to man a room and will be given a kit with everything that you need to be wildly successful!
Buddy:We need volunteers to be Buddies for the evening to a child who has special needs or their siblings. You will spend the evening having fun together, and making sure they have a fantastic time!
Server:We will have a pizza party with the kids and we need folks to help us serve the pizza and clean up our dinner time mess.
Welcome Team:We need folks with the gift of hospitality to meet and greet each family as they arrive. We want to provide a very warm welcome to our guests!
